UCC27527: Input Clamp Diode in UCC27527

Part Number: UCC27527

Hello

I plan to use UCC27527 in my Pre Driver stage for IGBT Drivers

where Dead Bank & Interlock and Short Pulse Suppression Ckts shall be built-in

I have the following Q's:

1. Is it also available in SOIC package?

2. Inputs do they have clamp diode to Vdd and GND , and if so, what is the limiting current ?

3. A related clarification :The Data Sheet mentions

" Inputs and Enable Pin Voltage Levels Not  Restricted by VDD Pin Bias Supply Voltage"

Can someone clarify this Stt , in relation to my above Q .

Best Regards

Varun

  • Hi Varun,

    1. Unfortunately the UCC27527 in the SOIC package is not available for order.

    2. The inputs do not have a clamp diode.

    3. It means that the absolute maximum voltages that the input and enable pins can handle is independent from the Vdd voltage. Some devices have their limits based on a certain voltage or whatever VDD is (usually VDD + 0.3). In this device, the two are independent.

    Thanks,
    Rubas
