Hello
Our client and we purchased BQ studio battery communication boards from TI. We are using it to test our custom BMS board which we have built. Attached is the schematic. We are connecting the SMBus of our BMS boards to your eval kit for testing.
The issue we are repeatedly encountering is with the BQ studio battery communication boards from TI … to-date we have had 4 of these boards fail in service. I really need to understand if this is something in the BMS board which we have built that is burning out these boards or some errata in the chip design or anything we have missed to follow.
This board is going for mass manufacturing. We need resolution to this asap otherwise we would have to hold on its manufacturing.1307.BMS.pdfbQ40Z80 EVAL BOARD.pdf
Hi Siddhi,
I am not sure I am understanding correctly the main issue here.
If I am understanding correctly, you are using our Evaluation Board along with your design to test the communications? Are you doing this to only use our EV2400? What is the main purpose here?
When you say the boards are burning out, what do you mean exactly. Please elaborate more.
Regards,
Jose Couso
