BQ25798BKUPEVM: Current Measurement During Battery Discharging only not showing on GUI

Dear TI,

I hope that you are doing well. My question is when I am discharging the battery through VSYS and there is not input to the charger, why there is not current showing on ADC IBAT in the cloud GUI?
Can you please guide me in this matter?

Please set EN_IBAT in REG0x14 to 1.

Hi Jeff,

I have enable it but the only the charging current shows. When the battery is in discharge mode, the current ADC IBAT shown is 0A only.

Hi Ahmed,

If WD expires, that bit and EN_ADC may reset to 0. Also, running average does not function for IBUS and IBAT. After disabling WD, setting EN_IBAT and EN_ADC = 1, ensuring that IBAT channel is enabled and not enabling running average, if the ADC still does not report discharge current, the internal battery FET is damaged.

Thank you Jeff. My mistake was that I enabled the ADC Average in Running mode rather than single. That's why the current was not shown on the GUI. Thank you again.
