LM5012-Q1: Load Regulation

Part Number: LM5012-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5012

Hi Team,

We have developed a LM5012 based buck convertor.

Designed parameters:

Input Voltage 15 to 60V

Output Voltage 5

Output Current 2.5A

1. When no load is connected, output is stable between 5.01 to 5.1V

2. When load (0.5A, 10ohm, 5W wired wound resistor) is connected across output, the load output voltage is fluctuating between 3.8V - 2.8V for 15V - 60V input.

Reference Circuit

Kindly help us with the solution.

  • hi,

Sorry for I can't open you picture, could you share again,

Usually if under light load work normal ,we can first see the device is function, After increase loading, it looks like Vout is falling and not stable, could you check if the inductor ISAT is enough ,Vin input voltage have current limited .

After I can see your SCH and waveform, i will check if the design is good.

Webench is a good start for you to check your design components, you can also verify on that.
