TPS7H1111-SEP: TPS7H1111-SEP Output Voltage Accuracy - Lifetime Drift

Hello. According to section 10.2.1.2.3 of the TPS7H1111-SEP datasheet, the output voltage accuracy does not take into account lifetime drift. It is stated that "For this example, it is assumed the lifetime drift is minimal compared to the other sources of error and is therefore not added". To be as thorough as possible, I'd like to include a value for this in my accuracy calculation - could you give me a maximum value I could use for this? The datasheet mentions "Group C data" which may be used to aid this calculation. I'm not familiar with Group C data - is this something you can provide? If you could preferably instead give a simple indication of the maximum expected error for a given lifetime that would be much appreciated.

    Hi David,

    Group C aging data only applies to full space-grade devices (-SP), not the lower-radiation Space Enhanced Plastic (-SEP) grade parts. If -SP parts are ordered, then the Group C data is included with the shipment and can also be obtained through our QCI web page if the physical document can't be located. This would allow you to see the drift data for the given shipment of parts.

    SEP parts don't go through Group C testing and so they don't have Group C data. With that said, the -SEP parts do still go through a pass/fail life test that is meant more for screening quality as it does not report drift data. Ultimately, any drift that could occur for SEP parts would be bounded by the min and max listed in the Electrical Characterization table as this is what the device is tested against. You could use the max value as a worst-case, but know that this is likely overly pessimistic as the min and max are set wide enough to account for many types of drift and variation such as temperature, voltage/load, and part-to-part manufacturing differences with some amount of guard-banding as well.
