ISO5852S-EP: Can we connect FLT and RST together

Hi Team,

Hope you are doing good.

I am using ISO5852S in my 3 phase inverter application, In short circuit or Over current condition plannig to shutdown all the 06 IC's together. For that we are thinking to use FLT pin, if we have any fault on secondary side of IC it will give immediate signal of FLT (pull down Vdd). Can we connect FLT and RST like as below mentioned using a small RC to eliminate noise.

Hi Vivek,

FLT and RDY can be tied together since they're output open drain pins, however the drawback is you would not which one was pulled low during an event. We do not recommend tying FLT and RST together as one is input pin and one is output pin.

Hi Pratik,

In the above case we don't need the info where the fault is happen and we are planning to shutdown all the IC's together.

Instead of RST can we connect to RDY pin.

Yes, you can tie RDY and FLT together.
