TUSB542: EVM hole and frame

Hi,

Are the frames (red frames), 4 large holes (red frames), and 2 small holes described in Datasheet P22, 10.2 Layout Example required to create the board?

I would like to know if it is really necessary because EVM has same frames and holes.

Also, if it is required, could you tell me what it is used for?

Figure 23 was copied from the TUSB542EVM.

The large holes are for mounting stand to the EVM.

The small holes are fiducial mark. A fiducial mark is typically a circular pad or other shapes of exposed copper that is surrounded by a clearance area. It acts as a reference point for automated machines, such as pick-and-place machines, and also for PCB stencil alignment to ensure that components are accurately placed on the board. During the assembly process, these machines use computer vision systems that scan for the fiducial marks and use their locations to align the PCB and components.

Fiducials should be added to the corners of frames during PCB panelization. Fiducials should be 1mm in diameter with a 2mm masking area.

Is your answer about the small hole (red frame)?

I apologize for the lack of explanation. The frame I mentioned is about the blue frame. The frame I highlighted in blue was also in the EVM as a white frame, is this necessary for the substrate creation?
