PFCLLCSREVM034: PFCLLCSREVM034 input Solution

Part Number: PFCLLCSREVM034
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-010081, UCC25640EVM-020, UCC25660

Hi,

Does PFCLLCSREVM034 support DC input?

For example, 120~375VDC.

If not , why?

  • Hello Alex,

You can input a DC voltage into the PFCLLCREVM034 by bypassing the PFC stage and directly feeding voltage into the LLC stage. Do not connect an AC supply to the input terminal and feed your desired DC voltage into the test points as highlighted below.

You will then just be evaluating the LLC stage of the EVM. The idea of the circuit is shown below. The below circuit is of the TIDA-010081 but the idea is the same. To evaluate only the DC/DC stage of the EVM, just skip the AC/DC stage and directly feed your DC voltage at the DC/DC voltage input using the test points.

If you only want to evaluate the LLC stage of the EVM, then you can just use the UCC25640EVM-020: https://www.ti.com/tool/UCC25640EVM-020. We also have the UCC25660 LLC controller that will be released soon: https://www.ti.com/product/UCC25660
