TPS281C100: TPS281C100 datasheet: SLVSH72 error

Part Number: TPS281C100

TPS281C100 datasheet: SLVSH72 error

In the table in Section 6.7, tDR is up to 45 us and tON is up to 40 us, so tDR is longer than tON.
On the other hand, in Figure 7-2, tDR is always shorter than tON.
Please tell me the correct specifications.

  • Also, fmax is mentioned in the table in Section 6.7, but there is no mention of fmax anywhere.

  • Hi Yohei-san,

Sorry for the confusion. I looked into the data, and the range was specified too conservative. Since the data is not tested in production, it's taken from the simulation. From simulation, the max we can expect is 24 us for tDR. You're correct that tDR should always be shorten than tON for a given device. We will work on updating the datasheet to avoid confusion in the next revision.

For fMAX, we removed the spec for it as it's highly depending on the operation condition such as ambient temp and load current. We tested TPS281C100 with 25 degC ambient, 2kHz switching frequency and 2.2A current internally with our EVM, and we observed <15 degC temp rise.

Hope the information helps and let me know if you have additional questions. Thanks!
