LMR14030-Q1: maximum bootstrap capacitance

Hi team,

Is there any concern if I use 0.22uF as Cboot of LMR14030-Q1 while 0.1uF is recommended?

Could you please advise the maximum value I could use for Cboot?

Hi,

The Cboot can be 220nF. Usually 100nF is enough.

I think we only need to ensure a minimum value of Cboot. What is your purpose to put a big capacitor here?

Hi Cheng-san,

Due to lack of 0.1uF capacitor, I need to use 0.22uF.

Then I would like to make sure maximum tolerance of 0.22uF cap meet the requirement.

Why you say 0.1uF is not enough? If it's true, the biggest Cboot I have seen before is 1uF.

Thank you. I don't mean 0.1uF is not enough, but due to the component shortage, I cannot use 0.1uF MLCC.
