LMR36015FSCQRNXRQ1 Buck is consuming 30mA of power, Please let me know the part number for less consuming Buck converter.
Hello Basavaraj,
The power-good output consists of an open drain NMOS and requiring an external pullup resistor(1k-10k) to 1.8V.
This can help reduce consuming power.
Thanks
Colin
Hi Colin Chen,
We are measuring with series connection of DMM6500.
Thanks for your immediate reply.
Hello,
The PG consists a N mos and on-resistance is 80ohm typically,
So I=1.8V/(80ohm+10kohm)=0.18mA.
Please calibrate your ammeter, thanks.
Colin
Hello,
Have you calibrated your ammeter?
Also you can send us full schematic for further check. Thanks!
Colin
Overall this circuit is consuming 30mA, not only PG. let me know the why it is consuming this much power.
hello,
Does this data tested on no load condition? What is your Vin,Vout and Iout?
Thanks
Colin
Hi Colin,
Yes it is checked without load condition and the Vin= 12V, Vout= 6V , Iout= 1A.
Hello,
LMR36015F is forced PWM version which means that it has low efficiency in no load or light load.
Please choose auto version like below and it would consume less current at light load.
Thanks
Colin
