I am working on a T-NPC type Vienna rectifier. I would like to use a pair of LMG3422R030 back-to-back with their sources connected like shown in the following diagram, one pair for each of the 3 phases. I plan on driving the gate signals (the "IN" pin of the LMG3422R030 module) for any given pair from the same source. Meaning both GaNFETs in a given pair will always be simultaneously on or off, with no deliberate 3rd quadrant conduction.
Is there any issue with doing this? The only thing I can think of is some minor 3rd quadrant operation that could occur during turn-on/turn-off, but it would be for at most 20nsec or so if I'm reading the delay times right in the datasheet. I would think that should be okay but want to make sure I'm not missing something before I commit.
Thanks!
