LMR43610: Can I use in adjustable mode to make a 9.5V Rail

Part Number: LMR43610

Hi,

Is it possible to use a LMR43610MB3RPER in adjustable mode to make a 9,5V rail (from a 13V input), the datasheet is a bit ambiguous with respect to this.  It says that Adjustable is possible, but only shows 4 parts in the part number tables.  The Vout option in section 10.1.2 and section 5 indicates it is OK:

VOUT OPTION: 3: 3.3-V fixed/adjustable

Section 9.2.2.1, Table 9-6 and section 5 make it look like it isn't possible

Table 6-1 is ambiguous when read with section 5.  The diagram in section 8.2 makes it look like it won't work

Please help!

  • Hello

Yes, you can use that device in adjustable mode.  It will automatically go into adjustable mode

when it detects the resistor divider on the FB pin.  Table 9-6 shows values for a 9V output; so 9.5V is OK.

You can choose a value for Rfbb close to 10k and then use this equation to calculate Rfbt = Rfbb*(Vout-1)

You could use Rfbb = 11k and Rfbt = 93.1k

    Thanks
