Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS51386
I am considering using the TPS51397A as a IBB to convert 12V to -5V @ ~4A, using SNVA856B as a guide.
Is there any specific about the TPS51397A that would prevent it from working as a IBB?
Thanks!

We didn't use it for IBB application before, but in theory, it should be ok for your application.
Just For EN and PG control external control, you may refer to Using the TPS62120 in an Inverting Buck-Boost Topology (Rev. C)
And based on your current requirement, you may also choose TPS51386 lower current part

Thanks for the reply.
I ordered the eval board, adjusted R7, and put a cap between Vin and Vout (Gnd in the IBB configuration). It works fine as an IBB (88% efficient at 2.5A).
