LM2611: Grade A, B difference

Part Number: LM2611

Hello Team,

I can see the Grade A and B have difference in Current limit value.

Is there any reason LM2611 has 2 kinds of current limit? Thank you!

  • Hello Ken,
Thanks for reaching out to us via e2e.

This rating defines the peak current where the PWM gets turned off during a cycle.
You have to select the peak current according to your load current requirements.

See section 7.3.3 Switch Current Limit in the datasheet (the typical value that is mentioned there refers to Grade A).

    Best regards,
    Harry
