LM63615-Q1: Question about SW to PGND voltage absolute maximum rating

Part Number: LM63615-Q1

Hello,

My customer has a question about SW to PGND voltage absolute maximum rating.
The datasheet specifies SW to PGND for transients of less than 10 ns is -6V at minimum.
My customer is observing SW to PGND voltage is -0.3V for 10us(1000 times of 10ns). Is this OK and should not damage the device at all?

Best regards,

K.Hirano

  • Hi Hirano,

-0.3V is probably because of the conduction of the body diode of the LS FET. It should be no issues. You can also refer to the this application note for more details on the Absolute Maximum Ratings of the SW node. Here is the Link.
