LM22678: Copper Thickness of the PCB

Part Number: LM22678

Hello,

We are using an LM22678TJ-5.0/NOPB for our application, aiming for a 5V output at 4A. As per the datasheet recommendations, we used 2OZ copper boards. However, our manufacturer has suggested changing the 1.5OZ copper thickness instead of 2OZ.

Please let us know if this change affects the IC performance or causes any other issues?

Manufacturer Query: The document requires the finished copper thickness to be 2OZ, but the impedance line width is only 0.13mm, which is not good for optimization, it is suggested to change the finished copper thickness to 1.5OZ, please confirm!

Thanks,

Sonali
