TPSM5D1806E: Should I leave EN2 OPEN

Part Number: TPSM5D1806E

hi Expert,

For TPSM5D1806E device,

I am going to connect power good output of the previous stage to EN1 for power sequencing? Should I leave EN2/Ishare open?

Would channel 2 turn on by default if I am not connecting it to PG signal?

Best regards,

Felix

  • Is the system configured for dual output or one output (parallelled output) as shown in the schematic above.

The MODE1 and MODE2 resistors set the configuration.

If the MODE1 is configured for dual output then enable2 pin needs to be controlled to turn on/off channel 2.

If the MODE1 is configured for paralleled outputs then leave EN2/ISHARE open as the datasheet states in the clip you provided.

When MODE1 is 10.7kOhm, the multi function pin are configured for a different function.
