I have used UCC28180 IC for front end PFC operation at 1KW power EV charger

I am assigned to reduce to Power rating of 480W and 250W using same circuit.

Despite PFC not mandate for less than 500W(correct me if i am wrong) i want to use PFC circuit for 250W and 480W,kiindly suggest me any PFC IC of same footprint less cost please

Hello Venkatesh,

Thank you for your interest in TI PFC controllers.

As I understand it, in Europe PFC is required for input power 75W and higher.
The UCC28180 controller will work at any power level, so it can work for your 250W and 480W applications.

The UCC28019A has almost the same footprint except that pin 4 function is for Brown-out protection instead of Frequency programming as in UCC28180.
It is also slightly more expensive than the UCC28180.

To maintain the same footprint including functions, the UCC28180 is your best choice.
