BQ76940: under voltage

Part Number: BQ76940
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76952

Hello ti Expert!

I would like to ask, I want to set the undervoltage threshold of bq76940 to 0, what should I do? If this is not possible I would like to know if BQ is not allowed to turn off FET during undervoltage.

Looking forward to your reply.

thanks.

  • Hi Zhang,

The minimum CUV threshold on the bq76940 is 0x1000 ADC counts, or ~1.565V. I don't think there is a good way to prevent the DSG FET from turning off in the event of a CUV.

You may consider looking into the bq76952, which is a newer version of the bq76940 and has more features as well as the ability to prevent a CUV event from turning off the DSG FET.
