TPS23861: Design Calculation

Hi ,

We are using TPS23861 in our design. As I am new to PSE request you to verify the attached schematics and give your feedback. Please let us know if any mistakes in schematics.

The highlighted resistor values in below attached image are recommended in Datasheet & EVM kit but there is no clarification how these resistor values are arrived (What is design calculation for these resistor) ? Please clarify, Our customer needs this data.

Mani,

Your schematic looks good. The highlighted components' value are determined by our IC internal design. You will need to follow our datasheet for these value selection. Also TPS23861 has a power on sequence that needs to be met.

RESET pin needs to be held low before VPWR reaches its UVLO.

Hi Mani,

The sense resistor value is also fixed to 255mohm by design. Any other values will cause current measurement inaccuracy. Thanks.
