Part Number: UCC27289
Hi team,
If the bootstrap capacitor is larger than the recommended value of 0.1uF, is there any problems?
I plan to use 0.47uF.

Kengo.

Hey Kengo,
Thank you for your question regarding the UCC27289.
The value of 0.1uF is a typical value that is seen in these applications. Using a 0.47uF capacitor is okay if that is what is needed to source current for the high-side. Section 8.2.2.1 Select Bootstrap and VDD Capacitor has more information on this sizing. As noted in that section, it is best if the bypass capacitor on VDD-VSS is 10 times greater than the bootstrap capacitor and is also placed close to the gate driver.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Thank you,
William Moore
