UCC28C50: DC/DC converter

Part Number: UCC28C50

Hi,

I want to design a system with

input: 55VDC-150VDC                    output 48VDC @ 2.5 Amp  peak\

1.  In UCC28C56EVM  can we use the same design and replace it with web bench  design calculations?

2.  We need small PCB footprint  for this so is this IC suitable for it?

3. webbench does not simulate the part so is it possible to change custom parts to nearby values and simulate it?

  • Hi,

    1.

Yes you can. But the EVM is with 40V to 1000V input so very different from your. Meaning you may need to change quite. Also if you are not using SiC ucc28c56 may not be the best. You should review the data sheet to pick up one.

    2.

You can use VSSOP so footprint is good for small PCB.

    3.

You can use PSpice for TI or TI tina for simulation.
