TPS92638-Q1: Measurement of a resistor

Hello ,

I have a measurement problem with one of your microchip : TPS92638QPWPRQ1

It’s used by one of our customers and the electrical schematic is :

In our In Situ Tester (the card is not powered) we must measure the value of R4 (49.9 kOhms) but we can’t measure this because there is a parralel resistor on your microchip between pins 9 and 12 .

This value is around 4.5 kOhms but change at each microchip.

Can you tell me the value of this resistance and tolerances in your microchip or explain me how to check this resistance R4 ?

Hi Cyril,

Why do you want to measure the value of R4 on the board? if you want to check the resistance of R4 accurately, please disconnect the R4 and Pin9.

It is hard to give an accurate value due to internal deviation between different ICs.

Hi Hailee,

thank you for your reply,

it's the principle of an In Situ tester: we check that we've assembled the right component on the SMD line before the functional test.

If I've understood correctly, I can't test this value.
