Hi ,
We are using TPS61165DBVR LED Driver ,
When applying the Vin = 5V, 0.5A, PWM 50KHz to the LED driver ic, i am getting same 5V across the LEDs, the output voltage is not boosted.
Please clarify what was the wrong

Hi Gnanam,
Have you checked whether the input current limited the IC start up?
BR
Patrick
Hi ,
I am applying sufficient input current 5V, 0.7A to the circuit, the designed load current will 200mA, 8.4V .
I am getting the 38V at LED output terminal when LED is opened.
When applying the 5KHZ , 3.3V PWM to CTRL Pin, i am getting the LED output voltage 7.3V, 1mA. This is not enough for drive the LEDs
What is the recommended frequency for CTRL Pin
Hi Gnanam,
Our expert is currently celebrating Chinese New Year and is out of office. He/she will reply to you after Feb.18 when he/she is back to office. Thanks for your understanding.

Hi Gnanam,
What is the PWM duty cycle? Will the output current change if you adjust the input PWM duty cycle?
BR
Patrick
Hi,
I am changing the duty cycle from 10 to 90 %, the output current is not changing
Hi Gnanam,
Have you checked the resistance of R2? And how many ICs have you tested?
It will be helpful if you have the waveforms of SW and FB.

Patrick
Hi ,
I am using RMCF2512FT1R00 in R2 location, we have only one IC and tested with that.
Hi Gnanam,
I would suggest testing more than one ICs so we can know if this issue is related to circuit design.
