Hi,
If I have a case to insert and remove PMBus cables, is there a recommended protection IC to protect the PMBus? I plan to use a protection IC to prevent the spike noise generated during insertion and removal.
Best Regards,
Nishie

Hello Yuta,
the pins of the device are rated for 5.5V.
ESD diodes can be used for protections for hot plug spikes

Hi Tahar-san,
Thank you for your reply.
Could you tell me the recommended parts name for PMBus of TPSM8D6B24?
Best Regards,
Nishie
Hi
depends on the voltage you are trying to use, the PMBUS lines should be protect for at least 5.5V. Anything above the voltage you are planning on using on the bus and equal to or below 5.5V should work as long as the Bus capacitance does not get too high. PMBus recommends a bus limit of 400pF.
Thanks
Tahar
