TPSM33615: Recommended switching frequency

Hello team,

My customer is trying to design system with 1MHz fixed frequency version of this device (TPSM33615FRDNR), because they want FPWM mode.

Customer design is 24Vin -> 12Vout / 0.4A.
However, on the datasheet, the recommeded SW frequency is 1600kHz when used in 24Vin -> 12Vout.

Can they use 1MHz version for this configuration?

    Hi Kei,

    It may work, but may require your customer's testing. The reason there is a range of values is due to the internal error amplifier compensation values are fixed and are optimized for a certain range of input voltages.
