Part Number: TPS650330-Q1
Hi,
I asked on another post about reprogramming the TPS650330-Q1 to change the power-on sequence to match the one the image sensor requires.
Someone at TI told me the following about reprogramming this PMIC: "Unfortunately not, they are locked from production for compliance of safety standards"
Then I asked again about changing the PMIC's registers using I2C in order to change the sequence.
They told me this: "The device can have it's registers changed, but the static memory that is loaded up into the device's registers can not be over written. So the device is powered up, static memory is loaded into registers, I2C writes happen, and the the device is configured to your specifications. So in short, yes a microcontroller can change the registers for your correct power sequence."
Do we have to change the PMIC registers every time the system is powered or can we just do it once and, after that, the PMIC will performance the correct power-on sequence?
The idea is to program this PMIC an others just once at the production line and then nothing needs to be reprogrammed or changed again.
Thank you in advance,
Jorge Cruz
