TPS7A4501-SP: Vdo with respect to PSRR for Vo=7V, Io=530mA

Part Number: TPS7A4501-SP

We're using the RHA version (5962R1222403VXC) with Vout=7V & I_load=530mA.

Question: The curve below applies to 1.8V with I_load =500mA, would this curve also apply to our use case of Vout=7V with I_load=530mA, if not can we get a curve that applies to our use case ?

Note: The curve below was taken from E2E Post Titled: "TPS7A4501-SP: Minimum voltage headroom required for 5V, 100mA operating point."

Thank you -John

  • Hi John,

This curve won't match perfectly, but it should be applicable for displaying the trend of impact from dropout. In general VOUT typically only has a small impact on PSRR. Dropout, load, and COUT (at high frequency) typically have the biggest impacts. In your case, the load is fairly close to the condition for these curves so I would not expect a large difference.

You can see the additional PSRR graphs here, in addition to graphs showing performance of our high PSRR LDO (TPS7H1111) for comparison.

    Thanks,

    Sarah
