TPS23754: detect and classify state

Hi team,

If the TPS23754 is always in detect and classify state, will there be voltage output from the secondary transformer?

What is the internal DC-DC input voltage that will start the operation? Currently the customer's detection stage voltage is less than 22V.

    Hi Comi,

    If both APD is blow threshold and PPD is also below threshold, and VDD-VSS is less than 33.9 V, the PWM controller should be hold off and there should be no any switching events.

    Does the customer use the PPD or APD?

    Hi Diang，

    Another  situation:

    Adapter and POE are both on, and If APD is above threshold ,but no adapter voltage to VDD(because MCU control Mosfet to open or close adapter voltage to

    VDD) at this situation ,  does PWM controller  work?

    Hi Comi,

    I think the PWM controller needs VDD-RTN voltage to give power good signal and offer the start up energy at least. And APD internal comparator is drive by VDD.

    So I think no VDD voltage can cause PWM controller stop working.
