TLV702: Overshoot issue

Hi team,

My customer is using our TLV70233DBVR.

The maximum electrical transient current test is 1.07A, which exceeds the output current limit in the specification. Could you help to check whether there is any risk? If so, could you help to tell us how to solve the issue?

Hi Haury,

There is no issue with this. It's not uncommon for a device to hit current limit during startup, especially if there is a lot of output cap. The main concern with these startup transient events is exceeding the bond wire fuse current, which is usually on the order of multiple amps, and a device that has a max current limit spec of 860mA will certainly have a fuse current that is at least a few amps, so you are well within margin.
