SN75452B: SN75452BDR extended temperature version

Part Number: SN75452B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN55452B

I am currently using your SN75452BDR in an existing design and now need that unit to operate in an extended temperature environment. I will be redesigning the PCB to accommodate this. I am planning on using the SN55452BFK for this new application.  Other than the temperature they appear to be the same, could you confirm. I found one source that listed the number of bits per element on one at 2 verses 1 on the other,  How does this exactly translate to the component performance?

  • Hi Michael,

    Welcome to e2e!

That's correct, the two devices are functionally the same except for operating temperature and package. Both have two channels and the same logic configurations - where do you see the bits per element discrepancy?

    Thanks,

    Patrick

  • Great to know, thanks. I will spec the SN55452B in the new design

It is listed on the Digikey website under the product attributes for each of the two components. Until I did a more detailed look at the spec sheet, the SN554552 series didn't show up under their parameter search.
