BQ51003: No power transfert when strong coupling just high voltage large pulses for VRECT.

Part Number: BQ51003

Hi,

I have designed a wireless receiver based on the BQ51003 for delivering 50 mA. Our coil is the one defined in the Qi V1.3 specification RX reference design page 14 except its thickness (0.1 mm, 1 layer and 22 turns). Its value is 41µH out of the transmitter and 59µH on the transmitter. CS (serial) is 33 nF and CP(parallel) is 500pF. On the transmitter (off) the resonnance frequencies are 111KHz and 1.04MHz (using a VNA).

When both coils (receiver and transmitter) are well aligned (maximal coupling) then the receiver stops charging and VRECT is a pulse of 15 V for 50 ms every 500 ms. If we reduce the coupling in adding a gap of 3 mm between the coils then the power transfert is functional and stable. If I misalign the coils (>5 mm) then the the power transfert is functional and stable too.

I have changed CS from 33 nF to 43 nF...same result.

Any idea?
