TPSM846C24: DESIGN REVIEW AND ISHARE, VSHARE, COMP CONFIGUARTION

Part Number: TPSM846C24

Hi,

We used TPSM846C24MOLR converter module in our design for 12V-1.1V conversion with 35A requirement for single operation. For VSHARE, ISHARE,SYNC and COMP we have just provided test points.

Please verify the design and is it fine to provide test points for the above pins?

Thanks

  • Hello,

A response for this will be posted in a few days.

  • Hi Sathya,

I have reviewed your schematic and here is what I found:

    1. The RSET resistor (R3119) of 10kΩ would give you a 1V output. However, if you want a 1.1V output, then you need to adjust it to 8.25kΩ.

    2. Based on your RT and RT_SEL pin selection (RT=19.6kΩ, RT_SEL=open), the switching frequency will be 1MHz. Is this what you were expecting?

    3. If above is true (1MHz switching frequency), then the RCOMP and CCOMP need to be adjusted to the recommended values in Table 1:

    4. Remote sense: It wasn't obvious which resistors are DNP. Can you confirm if my understanding below is correct? Also, I'm not sure what DUT_VDO_1P1_FILT_OUT is, and what components are in between VDD_1P1_BUCK_MOD.

    5. It's ok to have test points on VSHARE, ISHARE, SYNC, and COMP.

    Thank you,
    Tomoya
