We order the BQ34Z100-R2 from TI store, and now, we use the BQSTUDIO for the software configuration but the Device name is BQ34Z100-G1, please advise why this isseu is happen, thanks?

Hello Zhang,

-R2 and -G1 represent the firmware that is loaded on the gauge. The hardware is exactly the same. Download the -R2 firmware and program the srec file to fix this. www.ti.com/.../BQ34Z100-DEVICE-FW

We download the firmware but the device is also BQ34Z100-G1, and pleaes help to show how to identify the BQ34Z100-R2 device;

BTW, please also read the silk screen that we can distinguish the BQ34Z100-G1 and BQ34Z100-R2, we don't know below device is -R2 or G1, thanks.

Hi,

After taking a look at your .srec, you are using the R2 FW, you can verify on your end in the right-hand commands collum of bqstudio, at the top select FW_VERSION and at the bottom the result should be 0x0202, indicating R2 FW.
