TPS63036: Optimize BOM for TPS63036

Part Number: TPS63036
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS63901

We are working on a wearable device that has a formfactor of 10X10mm. We have selected TPS63036YFGR as our main Power IC for fixed 3.3V output from a 3.7V 1S Lithium-ion battery input. The reason for selecting this IC are the following

1- It has the smallest formfactor available Buck-Boost converter ICs

2- It has 90% above efficiency for less than 50mA load current.

Due to very small formfactor of our PCB we can only use 0201(0603) Footprints for input and output capacitors.

a) Is C0201(0603) footprint ok for input and output capacitors?

b) Also in reference design 3X10uF output capacitors are recommended. is it ok if i use one bigger valued output capacitor rather than using 3X10uF ceramic caps? and that also in C0201 footprint?

c) Is it ok if we skip C3 capacitor from the design?
