TPS37-Q1: pin FMEA

Part Number: TPS37-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS37

Hi team,

I have a question about TPS37_38-Q1 Functional Safety pin FMEA description below.

"For fixed voltage threshold option where the applied voltage to SENSE1 is less than 2.7V...."

Fixed voltage threshold option is >2.7V, so I think the correct description is "SENSE1 is greater than 2.7V..."

Could you advise if my understanding is correct?

Or does it mean fixed option version's SENSE 1 pin is biased less than 2.7V when SENSE 1 pin is Open-circuited?

regards.

  • Hello Shinji,

The statement is correct. The lowest fixed threshold offered is 2.7 V, if a voltage is applied to that mon that is lower than 2.7V (for example leaving the pin open) then Sense will interpret this as a short to GND.
