TPS61378-Q1: are this load conditions supported?

TI Team,

Can TPS61378-Q1 support below load/conditions?

 

  • Supply / input voltage for the boost regulator = 3.3 V typical / fixed
  • Target output voltage of the boost regulator = ~8.0 V
  • Output load = ~8,2 W for the cameras and periphery + ~1,3 W for the downstream voltage limiter = ~9,5 W (= ~1,2 A max.)
  • Enable input function
  • Power-good output (optional)

    Hi Piotr,

    TPS61378-Q1 can work in Vin = 3.3V and Vout = 8V, and output 8.2W (Iout = 1.025A).

    When RLIM = 20kΩ, the minimum guaranteed maximum output power is around 9.7W. Since the maximum output power is controlled by the peak current limit, the limitation is not so accurate.  Again When RLIM = 20kΩ, the range of maximum output power is 9.7W ~ 14W (typ12W).

    TPS61378-Q1 has EN pin and power-good pin.

    For a short summary, TPS61378-Q1 can meet all the listed requirements. The only concerns is that the limited max output power can't be in 9.5W accurately.
