UCD3138ALLCEVM150: Unable to connect to UCD3138A through JTAG using XDS 200 in UCD3138ACCEVM149

Part Number: UCD3138ALLCEVM150
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD3138ACCEVM149, , UCD3138A, USB-TO-GPIO2, UCD3138

Hi Team,

I am trying to use the UCD3138ALLCEVM150 evaluation module. As a part of that I gave 12V external supply (through J1) to board to power up the UCD3138ACCEVM149. I have connected the jumper to enable the pull-ups for TDI & TDO. I tried connecting with XDS200 and XDS 220 but it results the below error.

[Start: Texas Instruments XDS2xx USB Debug Probe_0]

Execute the command:

%ccs_base%/common/uscif/dbgjtag -f %boarddatafile% -rv -o -S integrity

[Result]

-----[Print the board config pathname(s)]------------------------------------

-----[Print the reset-command hardware log-file]-----------------------------

This emulator does not create a reset log-file.

-----[An error has occurred and this utility has aborted]--------------------

This error is generated by TI's USCIF driver or utilities.

The value is '-233' (0xffffff17).
The title is 'SC_ERR_PATH_BROKEN'.

The explanation is:
The JTAG IR and DR scan-paths cannot circulate bits, they may be broken.
An attempt to scan the JTAG scan-path has failed.
The target's JTAG scan-path appears to be broken
with a stuck-at-ones or stuck-at-zero fault.

[End: Texas Instruments XDS2xx USB Debug Probe_0]

I tried reducing frequency from 10MHz to 1MHz in advanced settings but same issue.

I don't have PMBUS USB-GPIO adapter to flash and communicate with controller. I have to connect it through emulator only. I have few doubts,

1. XDS 200 & XDS 220 wont work with UCD3138A?

2. As mentioned in manual, by default JTAG is enabled for UCD3138A so is there any issue with default firmware what is loaded in EVM?

3. Is there anything I need to do on the EVM other than giving 12V supply to connect through JTAG?

Thanks,
