Hello,

Could you recommend me a simple input voltage regulator with symmetrical output? I will use it to generate a +/- 12V voltage for the design of a wallbox. Some time ago, I used one of your voltage regulators TPSxxx classified as an LDO, which only required a single 5V input and with a simple resistive divider for the FB signal, it could generate a +/-Vset output. I did use it, and it worked perfectly, but I don't remember the part code, and I don't have access to the previous design. Could you recommend me one?

Hi Martin,

Can you confirm that you need the power converter to generate +/- 12V from a single +5V input? If so, this will not be an LDO it will be some type of boost supply. LDO's cannot change the polarity on the input, and they can only lower Vin to something else on Vout (of the same polarity).

Hi Stephen ,

Thank you for the response ,I know it wasn't an LDO, but when I purchased it from Mouser, it was categorized as an LDO - even though it clearly isn't one. In any case, the number of components was very minimal; I only needed a resistive divider at the output for the FB signal. Could you recommend a part that can take in a 5V input and generate a +/-12V output?

Hi Martin,

It seems like it would be a modularized version of the TPS65131. I'll send this to the group that owns the TPS65131 and they should be able to assist you further.

Hi Martin,

According to your description, I think TPS65131 is the good choice that will generate +/-12V with 5V input. The output voltage will be adjusted with resistor dividers.

Hi Stephen Ziel and Patrick Yao,

I managed to obtain the part number of the component I used, which is LM27762DSSR. Unfortunately, it couldn't generate 12V at the output, but the option they gave me is the one I'll go with. I'll start my design with the TPS65131.
