LM22673-Q1: MTBF/FIT Data Accurate?

Part Number: LM22673-Q1

Hi Team,

I am looking into the mean time between failures for the LM22673-Q1, and I noticed an odd curiosity of the part.

According to the table below for the device, it states that the estimates are made off of 1703 data samples collected. My question is if this number is accurate? Is this a typical number to see for other TI devices as well? Let me know as I am not very familiar with this area of expertise.

Thank you,

Filipe

  • Hi Filipe, FIT is usually calculated against an IEC standards and provided to customers.

Reliability testing is often done against a particular standard as well, or, based on a target applications particular needs which may supersede that standard's requirements.

There is probably some consistency from device to device, but not always.
