BQ24610: BQ24610 related issues

Part Number: BQ24610

Hello,

The charging of BQ24610 is normal, but the status indicator light is not working properly. There are three indicator lights: power indicator light, charging indicator light, and charging complete indicator light. The current problem is that the charging complete indicator light sometimes does not light up or goes off after a long time. According to the manual, both the charging indicator light and the charging completion indicator light are off due to several reasons: charging pause, timer malfunction, overvoltage, sleep, and battery not present. Currently, the charging pause is related to temperature and cannot be too high or too low. The test voltage does not differ from normal, but it can be ruled out that the battery has been continuously plugged in, so it can be ruled out. If there is an overvoltage, it is likely not. The 24V power supply is used, and there is no significant fluctuation in the power supply, Moreover, it is charged together by several pieces, some are normal and some are abnormal. The board parameters are roughly the same, and if it is in sleep mode, it will not be triggered under power supply conditions. It will only be triggered when the power supply is disconnected, so it is most likely a problem with this counter.

At present, the TTC pin with a normal test indicator light is 0V, while the TTC pin with a charging completed indicator light that does not light up has a voltage of up and down 1.25V. The problem is with a large capacity lithium battery, and there is no problem with a small capacity battery. Is it a problem with the counter?

There is another question about the safe fast charging time, which refers to, for example, when I fast charge 3A, the time is set to 5 hours, which means that my safe fast charging time is 5 hours. If it is fully charged within 5 hours, all indicator lights will be normal. If it is not fully charged after 5 hours or the threshold for constant voltage charging is not reached, will charging stop. I don't know my understanding, right?
