Hello colleagues,

Can integrated 5V LDO also be used externally as long as the min. output limit is not exceeded?

If so, should the circuit be extended by additional capacities?

Our device LDO can support this requirement, pls understand, this action will increase the thermal of the device.

Hi Zhiqian,

Do you more information or design requirements about the internal LDO?

Especially the relation of input voltage to max. output current would be of interest.

Customer would like to drive additional circuitry (i.e. MCU) directly from the LP8865-Q.

Hi, Daria

We doesn't suggest customer to use LP8865U LDO to drive the external device, mostly the LDO is used for internal logic.
