TPS2595: Low side switch

Part Number: TPS2595
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS1641

Hi Team,

Can the part use as low side switch which means that the OUT pin will connect to GND.

Regards,

Roy

  • Hi Roy,

These eFuse are not designed for this use case. Can you share some more details (like block diagram) for which you are considering this part.

    Best Regards,
    Arush

  • Hi Arush,

Please see below. We would like to have an eFuse(adjustable current limit, 1A is enough) that place in low side.

    Regards,

    Roy

  • Hi Roy,

This won't work. Our eFuse also take power from input side VIN. In this application, IN will be 0 and device will turn off.

I would say go for low side switches. From our eFuse portfolio, TPS1641 can be an option as it has separate VCC and VIN pin. In case you require more information on TPS1641 device, please create new question. That will help in keeping track of things. Add link to this thread there.

Click resolved if no other questions.

    Best Regards,
    Arush
