Hi Sir,
My customer have read the procedure from the datasheet to have the LED driver in PWM mode. The section relatively unclear about the "startup delay" timing.
What they have done so far is power up the backlight through pin 24 of the connector of the display (VLED, LED driving voltage (12 V)) while PWM output is zero.
Wait a from a coupe of ms (5ms) to hundreds of milliseconds (> 500 ms) and start PWM with duty cycle of 50% on pin 5 of the connector of the display(ADJ, Adjust the LED brightness by PWM).
The customer has done that for different PWM frequency (5kHz, 10kHz, 45kHz, 100kHz).
No luck either the backlight is flickering or stays black.
The customer only get a stable backlight with a PWM duty cycle of 100 % (.i.e Always high PWM output).
They have the below some questions,
What would be the value of "startup delay" timing on Figure 9 for PWM mode ?
Does the TPS61165 have and other procedure to pass the LED driver in backlight mode ?
