Hi - Is there a simple method of implementing a power ON-OFF function for controlling this charger ?

Currently this device handles the incoming voltage and charges the battery which is fine. What I would like to do is control whether the output is enabled or not.

Hi David,

Have you tried the ILIM_HIZ pin? Pull this pin to ground to disable switching.

Thanks Tiger. Yep this would certainly disable the PSU. What I'm trying to do is keep the IC going though and just disable the output, i.e. So keeping the battery being charged and simply disconnect or disable the output (VSYS).

The VSYS cannot be disabled since there is a body diode in the BATFET.
