TPS61030 - use LBI/LBO as PG?

Is there any reason why LBI could not be used with a divider and wired to VOUT to supply a power-good.  I don't need to use it for battery monitoring.

I was going to use system 3.3V to pull up LBO.

  • There is nothing wrong with doing this.  However, the LBO pin will be high impedance when the IC is disabled.  Thus, it will not pull LBO low to indicate that power is not good.

A discrete SVS to monitor the output voltage and generate a reset signal would be another option to implement a power good function.
