TPS61170: CTRL pin function

Part Number: TPS61170
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS22810

Hello,

Want to use boost converter (12V to 24V - 'TPS61170'), need to understand it's o/p behavior with respect to 'CNTRL' pin if tied to +5V (High) or GND (Low). As datasheet mentions the IC will generate o/p per design in normal operation with 'CTRL' pin high (5V). What will be the o/p if 'CTRL' pin switch to 0V? Datasheet mention the boost convertor goes into shutdown mode. Will it be 0V o/p or follow same as input? i.e. same Vin reflects at o/p via inductor 'L1' and Diode 'D1' in series?

Thanks
