Could you please tell me what the fault you met? And yes, the register map of LP5813 is the same as LP5812.

In the Register map PDF file of LP5813, the Autonomous Animation Registers from 0x80h to 0x21Fh, the reset value of the register is supposed to be 0x00h. I have reviewed other reset values mentioned in the register map.

Regarding the software reset problem, when I write 0x66 to register 0x23 (the software reset register), I encounter an I2C bus error. It is hard to determine or pinpoint what the problem is. I have checked the waveform and it appears to be okay. However, this problem only arises for this particular register (the software reset register). The LEDs are working fine and everything is functioning as configured. Whether in Manual Mode or Auto mode, I can control each LED individually.

Hi Shai,

I think the problem you met might the NACK error from the I2C bus since the device will not send back the ACK when it received reset command.

As I understand it the waveform looks ok, I2C LP581X I2C address (0x14h) + the software reset register (0x23h) + reset value to write (0x66h).

By the was it only happens in software reset other command or any configuration works great.
