BQ25601D: comparison between BQ25601 and BQ25601D

Part Number: BQ25601D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25601

Hi Team,

please kindly share slides on difference between BQ25601 and BQ25601D .

customer want to just replace BQ25601D in current BQ25601 design. pin2 is pulled high, pin3 is pulled low. To my understanding, after power up, write INDPM to what you want, then it's OK to do so, right? Thanks.

  • Hi Given,

Please see Section 6 Device Comparison Table in BQ25601 d/s.

As shown in Section 9.3.3.3 of the d/s "The host can over-write IINDPM register to change the input current limit if needed. The charger input current is always limited by the IINDPM register." It may be easier to just float the D+/D- lines of the BQ25601D as this will limit the input current to 500 mA, then this will be updated by user control.
